Well, that's it for now, we are having a nice weekend here, not exactly fall weather but better than the heatwave they are expecting on Wednesday!   karen....

I am Meeelllllttttiiinnnngggg..........

The other day when I went to visit my friend, she gifted me with this wonderful jadeite pitcher. She has many collections and has decided to downsize a little and said she knew how much I love jadeite so she shared one of her precious pitchers with me...now that is friendship!  I filled it with my favorite flower- hydrangeas... Just looking at the picture makes my heart smile!
Thank you Bonnie!

The title of this post has nothing to do with anything....It is just sooooo flippin'  HOT in Southern California right now! I just don't like hot, not at all!

I don't have too much to share this post, a few pictures of my friend Yessi's space. Yessi is my neighbor at Country Roads, she also works there and has a tiny little space that she does a wonderful job with.... The pictures don't do it justice because like I said, it is a small, long and narrow space but here goes....

The little dresser is wonderful!
So is this sweet vanity....
She always finds wonderful lighting....

And I love all the toiletries on this darling shelf....
Last but not least....my friend Bonnie has helped me greatly with finding goods for my booth so I put together a little gift for her. She collects children's books and this is a 1920's Louisa May Alcott book and I added a felt pin made by me.... Just thought I would share it with you!  I hope Fall is finding it's way to you (and soon to us!)  Hugs! karen....
Ps.... I would love to do a giveaway soon but nobody has been leaving comments...I would love a little hello if you stop by so I know that I still have readers, I love mail!

A Little Halloweeny

Sunday we spent a couple hours moving things around and Halloweenifying the booth.  I love Halloween! When I was little we would put on haunted houses for the younger girls in our neighborhood and  our park (at the end of the block) had a costume contest and carnival on halloween,so fun!

We just got the wood ironing board and the cool 100yr. old + doctor's bag. My daughter and I stenciled the plates, so fun!

Our new mannie, with wings and a crown!

Gourd pumpkins, old silver and skulls, it can't get any better than that in my mind!
And here is my creepy chair! I found it in May and held onto it for halloween...it is decorated with headless people.....

Some more plates above a mirror...

And another little vignette....

Now I just hope Mother Nature will figure out it is fall and cool down. The weather report says we are having another heatwave this weekend... Not funny!
I hope your week is something to crow about!  hee! hee!

Just Charming.....

I love small towns... especially because I grew up in a medium sized city just minutes from downtown L.A.
When we took our trip up to Central California, I loved the charm that was all around.
I love when people do what they love in their homes...when it's not all about "keeping up with the Jone's"
Here are some pictures of things that tickled me on our trip. Most of these photos were taken in Morro Bay, Ca.

Sweet Garden art....Vintage of course....

This bronze was at the Natural History Museum...I thought it was striking....

When I was little, we would drive to Redondo Beach (just 5 miles away)  and I would have fun spending my allowance in the shell shop...it looked very similar to this little shop!

This was in someone's driveway. I think it is to tie up a boat...

And I fell madly in love with this siren....I commented on it every time we passed it and I think my hubby and daughter got tired of me talking about her!

I was wishing we were driving this dapper car...maybe someday....

Hope you are enjoying the charm in your communtiy!  Have a great weekend! karen...
