Flea finds and a famous lamp!

Sorry for the blurry first photo. I wanted to share my finds from Sunday with you....

Here is the pile of most of it:

I got the vintage wedding photo last month and I am in love with it...I will take it to the booth for June-wedding month...

The red basket is an egg basket..so cool! I had about 6 people stop me at the fair to find out about it. And in this picture is a famous...was once in a movie...gorgeous silk lamp.....
Here she is.....she was in the movie Chicago or so I am told...I borrowed the movie to check it out. Either way, she is delicate, fragile, saucy.... oh she makes my heart go pitter pat!

The vendor told me she was in the movie over Renee' Zellwiggers bed.... I can't wait to see... She sometimes designs for sets and said she found this beauty and placed her in the movie. She kept her for awhile but wanted to share her with someone who loved her.....

She clips on the headboard...

and this is her underside...x-rated! Oh my!

Well, I thought I would share my fun finds...hope you like them! karen.....

I am joining Debra at Common Ground For Vintage Inspiration Thursday...go visit all the wonderful sites!

My Booth....

I have been a busy girl!

It is the 3rd week into being a antique mall booth proprietor- or shop girl, and I am loving it!

It is a challenge to find merchandise because I work my day job and some sales occur during my working hours, but I have had such support from good friends and family that I have been finding some great stuff.

My sweet friend Bonnie who is now retired and loves to junk has been going to sales when I can't and she has the eye! She also cleared out some of her stash for a great price for me to take. I couldn't have done it without her!

A friend at work texts me with finds and basically says "Get over there now!" and she also has a great vintage eye!

And I can't forget my bloggy friends (Beth and Gloria) whose knowledge of this new antique mall world has been priceless... Thanks to all of you!!!!

So now that I have made my academy award speech, on with the goods!

This first picture is of an awesome mirror that I found at an estate sale...so hard to sell!

These pictures have not been altered for proper color etc.... I am just too pooped right now and I so wanted to share it all with you!
Here are my pictures, I will stop babbling now!

I hope you enjoyed!

If you ever get the chance to visit Country Roads in Old Towne Orange, CA you will not be disappointed! It is a fun area to enjoy lots of vintage and many cute restaurants and boutique shops. Hope your weekend is wonderful, I am hoping the rain stays away until late tomorrow afternoon so I can go to the flea! Hugs! karen.....
PS... I am booth #6 in the last building to the right!

Flying doors, Oh my!

I did it! I have moved into my space at Country Roads! We only had 3 short weeks to get it all done (shopping, preparing items, pricing and moving in) and it isn't perfect but I am still happy!
Saturday was quite an adventure! We hired our son and his friend with a truck to help and to also drive out some of our wares... One of our big pieces was an old hoosier style cabinet- bright red.
Well, apparently if you drive down the 405fwy at Studebaker, you will find the door to said cute red hoosier! Imagine what went through my mind when my son called to tell me it flew off!
Yes...some @#%&'s came out, but luckily nobody was hurt...
It also came off cleanly so I will add a cute curtain and it will still be darling. It wouldn't have fit anyway so we have time to get it ready to move in when that darling bed and dresser sell.

Well, I just woke up and need to get ready for work, but I wanted to share my new adventure with you.... a dream of mine and it is coming true. I am so glad we are taking the leap and my family has been with me the whole time, supporting me.... I am a lucky girl!
Happy Monday...and if I wrote anything wonky..I am not awake so I am not resposible for my actions...hee! hee! karen.....
