A Good Weekend

As you can see, I am still in blue and white mode. Lunching Chocolate? I wonder how it differs from dinner chocolate? or dessert chocolate? Micheal picked up this pretty tin for me, it may become an inspiration kit or maybe it will house some of my arting goodies.
This has been a nice weekend! A little resting, watching a couple of movies- The Duchess and Juno...loved them both. Today I went to my little flea market and got some treasures. It was kinda gloomy outside so I didn't get pictures but I will try to get pics during the week.
I will leave you with a couple more blue and white pictures that I posted on the Year of Color flicker site...

I will be focusing on my Valentine one on one swap and my giveaway this week. Fun stuff to look forward to! What projects are you working on?
I'll be back in a couple of days! karen....

Some Valentine Frills......

I have been having fun creating my pages for Dede's Valentine Fat Book...I have had a craving to use all these romantic images and supplies for quite a while but so many things took precedence. Now I have an excuse!

This is definitely a picture-heavy post!

I think this little clown is my favorite......

I love these birdies!

I am also doing Kari's Year of Color blog and this month is blue and white....I thought this pretty felt ATC that Robin made was perfect to add to the flicker site!

Catching Up

Over the holidays, I participated in the Christmas Cracker Swap and my partner was the lovely Carolyn, all the way from England. With all the hullaballo I never got it posted but am glad to finally share it with you. It is a beautiful cracker, made to use over and over so it will be out with my Valentines decorations also. She and I also chose to swap supplies....look at all the wonderful goodies she sent me!
Ephemera, vintage lace, crocheted doilie, a glittered bird, 2 handmade ornaments, vintage cards and some yummy wallpaper, lots of baubles and buttons! I love it all and have some plans for Valentines with some of the goodies. Here is the pretty glitter birdie that now has a permanant spot in our kitchen hanging from the light over the table....

I joined Kari's A Year of Color Blog last night and started reading it today! My mind is swimming with inspiration. The color theme for January is blue and white so I will probably share posts to go along with the themes each month!
I also joined 2 other Valentine adventures....I am considering joining Kari's also... today will decide as I need to see how much I can get done on my fatbook pages before joining something else. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! karen....

Helloooooooo!!!!

Have I shown you these cute slippers? My secret santa gave them to me (from work) I love them...they are a permanent fixture for me when I get home and can settle down.
Well, I guess I should warn you....this post is just pitiful!
No interesting pictures just promises of some to come. I was in a swap with the lovely Carolyn from England and I need to show you my goodies.
My hubby bought me some pretty jewelry from Robin. The funny thing is I was describing a bracelet that I wanted... "Vintage findings, mother of pearl buttons, pearls..." and she held up a piece of a bracelet she had partially made which had all of those elements! Kinda freaky! But you can click on her name and go visit the post titled commission and you will see my new bauble...I just love it!!!
Anywhoooo! I have been busy looking after my cute mommy, she is doing much better but still needs to do some healing and go to visit the heart specialist. I am also back at work, I love what I do but when you are worried about someone at home it is harder to focus...
So that said, I will probably be in and out over the next couple of weeks...bear with me, I love all my bloggers so! I love your comments...you are wonderful!
I am also in a fat book hosted by the wonderful Dede Warren...A vintage valentines book. What a great project to help quell the worries!
Talk to you soon! karen....
