Feeling Fallish.....

I am really excited to announce that I will be showing at Glitterfest in October... It is an art and craft show that several big mixed media artists also show in and it is Halloween themed.... I am making collaged banners for it , paper crowns and some other goodies and my mom is making some whimsical yo-yo swags for it... I saw one of these in Mary Englebreit's last Christmas magazine (sob, I miss her mags!) and loved it so my mom made me one in red and white and I use it at Christmas and in Feb. Anyway...here is our halloween version!
These are darling on a mantel too and added to other garlands...here is a close-up of the yo-yo's....
Yummy fleur de lis fabric, pumpkins and ghosts, gingham, spots and swiss dots....I just love black white and a little orange for the season.... If anyone is interested in purchasing this one, it is up for grabs...it is 7' 9in. and is $30
My last picture for tonite is of Mila.... right in the middle of folding clothes yesterday morning...she plopped her rascally little butt!
Pure chaos she is....and I love her whole furry devilish self! I will be posting soon with pictures of my banners, I have 2 done and 2 on their way to being done and want to share them here....I also am doing a tutorial on the Year of Color Blog so I will share more about that also!
Have a hauntingly good week...okay, maybe a little too soon for the halloween stuff but I am hooked...........karen.....

Hi Karen...Glitterfest! It sounds exciting! Wish I lived closer I would have to attend. Looking forward to your tutorial! Your yo yo garland is just darling.

Hi, Karen-

I really want to go, but I live in Glendale and I have to be in Santa Monica this afternoon, so it's too much for me in one day.

Do you know if this event is ever held in my area?

Or, do you know of any similar craft shows going on in my area after this one?

I just love this stuff but am limited these days due to health problems.

Will keep an eye out for your tutorial. I love your banners!
Where do you get your ideas?

Thanks,

Lauri
