Went to the Flea.....

I went to the Antique Flea today... Had so much fun!  I wasn't able to stay long because we needed to go to the booth, but I love what I found!  Above is the wonderfully chippy chandy I found....

This little darling holds 4 ice cream cones...I think it would be cute planted up....
I love this red railroad lantern... hard to take it in!

These were a project...we covered the little camping stool quite awhile ago but just got the laundry cart so we put them together with a hanging line and child's apron and doll clothes and a cute laundry sign....

I also got the french salt holder today.....

Two pretty pictures and some interesting candle sconces....

A closeup of the camping stool...

A great old typewriter, I can't get enough of them....

And a view into an old chippy cupboard....
I love junkin', Can't wait to get out of California and find some really old crusty treasures, hopefully this summer!
Have a great week! karen....

Fun finds....

I have finally found a few goodies at our local Antique Flea Market...Not much but better than we have been finding.  A rusty birdcage, a darling candy box, a french enamel jam sieve, a wire soap dish, a basket purse, ironstone creamer, red tool caddy and a cute little plastic bunny!

We took most of these goodies over to the booth yesterday. I also added a pile of old letters and some cute vintage cards.....

Here are some pictures of my friend Marina's booth.....

She hand letters all her own signs...she is a wonderful artist!
Here is a picture of a darling carousel horse in her space....

She also is an Annie Sloan painter extraordinaire!  Look at that darling vanity!

And I didn't get these pictures in order but here is the little tool caddy filled with fun treasures....
I hope you had a great weekend! Happy Monday tomorrow! karen...

Eye Candy for You and Me!

I have friends, Gloria and Ted who are the Junkers Extraordiaire!
They Travel the U.S. finding wonderful finds and bring them back to California to share with the rest of us!
Last Spring they were vendors at the Remnants of the Past Show in San Luis Obispo, Ca.  I was not able to go (boo!) but Gloria was kind enough to share her pictures of their booth with me so I could let you see all the wonderful goodies they bring.....
I drooled when I opened them up! So many treasures that I would love to have!
Gloria and Ted also have a website:
http://shabbytownusa.com/ and an ebay site called Shabbytown USA also where they sell their wares as well....

I figured since I haven't posted in so long, you deserved some real eyecandy....
I love the pedestal mirrors and all the large letters...
She always has the most wonderful medical and dental cabinets....
And the rusty-crusty....they do it best!
Well, I hope I made up a little for my absence...
Gloria and Ted also have a booth at Country Roads Antiques and Gardens in Old Towne Orange, Ca...If you are out in Southern California it is a must see!  Remnants of the Past will have another show June 1st and 2nd...if you are in Central California it is also an awesome show!  Have a great week! karen....

Hellooooo! Cough! Snort!

 Hello Friends!
Sorry for my absence...life does get in the way sometimes!

I am home with the dreaded cough-plague that has hit everyone in the U.S. so please ignore any wonky statements that may be fever induced!

I am still loving my little booth. We had a big sale on New Year's day and I was really low on stock afterwards (that's a good thing). Then I got a darn sinus infection and wasn't able to go out treasure hunting for stock so it is still needing more.... But! I did make a coffee filter wreath in the meantime and some puffy hearts to bring in some Valentines love....
I took in some darling children's Valentine sets and a Be Mine banner....

The large knitting box with the La Mode print on it was hard to give up...I looooooove it!

My favorite little flea is on Sunday so hopefully I will find some great treasures to share with you...until then, cough!cough! I am going to drink some more Airborne and have a little snooze.....zzzz...

A One Hit Wonder....

That's me...a one hit wonder.... I work during the week, shop for the booth, prepare items for the booth, make goodies for the booth and price and take things to the booth.....

And I LOVE it!!!  Christmas time is the most fun, I can really go to town making things....

Those santa mugs are vintage Japan mugs that had the paint literally falling off of them... my cute hubby cleaned off all the paint and now they have a new life...kinda "Frenchy" Santa's!
I love the french milk jug and egg cups I found....

This was a very sad Putz house that I spoofed up and gave a little home to...

And this is my latest ornie wreath... these are so much fun to make... I never know how they will turn out....
Here's a closeup of the santa mugs.... I hope your Thanksgiving weekend was fun and you got to spend time with those you love....

Hello Christmas!

Now that I have my booth, I need to think retail again and the holiday creating and shopping for the booth just snuck up on me!I am happy with my creations so far, an ornie wreath, decorated bottles, trees in containers and a banner...but there is much more on my to-do list and Thanksgiving is just 3 days away!

So I will let the pictures pretty much speak for themselves as I need to go make dinner and create some more...

I love little trucks with the trees....

These christmas bottles were fun to make...

And you have to have toys and a wagon.....

I also made tags...

And this sweet girl is my pride and joy, I have another traditional colored wreath that I am taking tomorrow but I am in love with this baby!

Happy Turkey day if I don't get back to the blog!  karen....
